PRS FAQ

When are membership applications reviewed?

Membership applications are reviewed by Council on a rolling basis. Applications may be sent at any time but under the bylaws of the society membership books are closed 30 days prior to our annual meeting and reopened thereafter.

How much are membership dues?

  • Regular Members – $125 USD per year
  • Associate Members – $50 USD per year

What period of time do membership dues cover?

Membership dues are for one calendar year January 1 – December 31 to coincide with our tax year.

What items are included in my meeting registration costs?

Our hotel contracts are structured for the Society to pay one single master contract bill for all expenses associated with the event.  Attendee costs are calculated on the guest room charge, applicable taxes charged by the hotel, all meals for the duration of the conference, refreshment breaks and receptions.  As a matter of PRS policy, there are no a la carte registration packages, and where attendees opt out of events, refunds will not be issued for unattended activities or meals.

How do I cancel my meeting registration?

All cancelation requests must be submitted via email directly to the PRS offices.  (staff@perinatalresearchsociety.org). Cancelations requested by voicemail will not be accepted.

I need to cancel my meeting registration, is a refund available?

Cancelation requests will be handled on an individual basis depending on circumstances and the financial circumstances of PRS. Note PRS is still fully committed to paying for food and hotel costs if requests are received after the registration deadline or if PRS has not filled its minimum attendance requirements. For that reason, please first consider sending a colleague or trainee in your place, and communicate the person’s name to the Society. Please send cancellation requests to laura.goetzl@uth.tmc.edu.

In your request, please include the following information:

  • Attendees Full Name
  • Email Address
  • Phone Number
  • Reason for Cancelation Request
