Greetings from PRS!
We want to welcome back all Perinatal Research Society members as we look forward to attending the 51st Annual PRS Meeting - in person! After having to cancel the 2020 meeting due to the COVID-19 pandemic and travel/meeting restrictions, we are anticipating a wonderful opportunity to gather together in Florida this Fall.
The lovely Sirata Beach Resort at St. Petersburg Beach is our destination on September 10-12. The theme for the meeting is "Translation Through Collaboration," which supports a PRS priority to have our attendees leave with new ideas for their research and potential new collaborators. As is our tradition, we have scheduled nationally renown speakers that stimulate high-level scientific thinking. Past PRS 2006 President Rebecca Simmons, MD, and 2021 PRS Liley Award Winner, will open the meeting on Friday evening.
We also appreciate young members sharing outstanding research projects and the Young Investigators Program/Grant Writing Workshop is now taking applications. Having these early career researchers join our meeting is a highlight of our gathering together. Additionally, we will have time for attendees to reunite with old friends and hopefully make new friends over our three days in Florida. It will be a terrific weekend of science.
In regard to COVID-19 restrictions, the Sirata resort is working diligently to protect their guests and we have posted the safety guidelines below. The PRS Executive Committee strongly urges all attendees to be vaccinated.
Finally, we have included information you need to register for the meeting, an outline of the meeting agenda and travel suggestions. We look forward to seeing everyone in September. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to email us at firstname.lastname@example.org
