On behalf of the local organising committee and the PSANZ Board, I am delighted to share that we have been very busy behind the scenes in preparation for the 2023 PSANZ annual congress in Melbourne, Victoria.

Inspired by the vibrancy and architecture of Melbourne, and the diversity and breadth of the pathways we all strive to improve care and outcomes for women and their babies, our theme, “Laneways to better perinatal Outcomes” aims to take you on a journey of innovative perinatal research and care. We promise there will be something for every singles member of PSANZ at the congress!

We will keep you updated over the coming months but for now, make sure you save the date.

We cannot wait to welcome you to Melbourne, 5-8th March 2023.

Aims of the Congress

The aims of the Annual Congress are to:

  • provide an opportunity for members to broaden their perspectives of perinatology;
  • stimulate research activities aimed at improving perinatal care
  • present scientifically rigorous and valid new information
  • debate new information and ideas of relevance to perinatology

The Annual Pregnancy Meeting is the centerpiece of the Society’s work and the premier event for learning about cutting-edge science in obstetrics and maternal-fetal medicine. Attendees can take advantage of oral and poster abstract presentations, interactive CME postgraduate courses, scientific forums, roundtables and debate-style presentations, and networking events.

Our meeting provides an excellent opportunity to learn from leaders in the field of maternal-fetal medicine and to connect with colleagues form around the world. If you are interested in maternal-fetal medicine, this is the the meeting for you.

The scientific sessions feature forums, workshops, oral and poster abstract presentations, networking events, and more.

  • Friday, June 10, 2022, 5 pm ET: Submitters notified of whether their proposal submission has been accepted or declined
  • Monday, August 1, 2022, 9 pm ET: Call for Abstract Submissions Deadline & Early Registration Opens!
  • Monday, September 26, 2022, 5 pm ET: Primary authors notified of whether or not their submission has been accepted or declined.
  • Monday, October 3, 2022, 9 pm ET: Late-Breaking Abstract Submission Site Opens
  • Friday, October 7, 2022, 9 pm ET: Abstract Withdrawal Deadline*
  • Monday, November 7, 2022, 9 pm ET: Late-Breaking Abstract Submission Deadline
  • Monday, November 28, 2022, 5 pm ET: Primary authors notified of whether their late-breaking submission has been accepted or declined

*Withdrawals following this date may be subject to sanctioning of the primary author.

Dear Colleagues:

The 70th Annual Meeting of the Society for Reproductive Investigation (SRI) is being held from March 21 – 25, 2023 in Brisbane, QLD, Australia at the Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre.

With Drs. Mana Parast, Program Director and Bo Rueda, Program Committee Chair, the Program Committee has developed an outstanding venue around the theme: A Deep Dive into the Crosscurrents of Reproduction and Immunology.

Our scientific program includes two President’s Distinguished Lectures, 160 Oral Sessions, 12 invited Mini-Symposia on state-of-the-art topics, invited Lunch and Learn Symposia and a Hot Topics Plenary Session. Thematic Satellite symposia will continue to fill Wednesday, March 22, 2023.

This year’s meeting will feature inspiring talks from two outstanding President’s Distinguished Lecturers including Sing Sing Way, MD PhD and Jennifer K Richer, PhD.

Sing Sing Way, MD, PhD, is the Pauline and Lawson Reed Chair of the Division of Infectious Diseases and a Professor of Pediatrics at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital and the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine. Dr. Way is an expert in the immunological basis for recurrent pregnancy loss and the roles of regulatory T cells in maintaining immune tolerance to the fetus during pregnancy.

Jennifer K. Richer, PhD, from the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus, where she is a Professor of Pathology and Co-Leader of the Tumor Host Interactions Program at the University of Colorado Cancer Center. Dr. Richer is an expert on the roles of estrogen receptors (ER), androgen receptors (AR) and microRNAs in breast cancer pathogenesis and harnessing of this knowledge to improve breast cancer responsiveness to endocrine therapy. Her research on the AR in breast cancer has led to two investigator initiated clinical trials

In addition to the scientific sessions, we will host numerous Career Development activities including Career Development Workshops, Mentor-in-a-Cloud, an Early Career Forum and a Mid-Career Forum on Wednesday, and our highly successful Connection Corners on Thursday evening.

As always, the 70th Annual SRI Meeting will be highly collegial and provide a forum for outstanding science and the opportunity for fruitful global networking.
